Our perspective on the themes we invest behind: Longevity, Humanity Amidst AI, Transformative opportunities and Sports.
Longevity is shifting from lifespan claims toward clinical proof. A 53,018-person proteomic score, naked-mole-rat gene transfer in mice and major biotech financings point to an investable stack built on validation, endpoints, manufacturing, regulation, safety and payer relevance—not hype alone.
Sport is being priced like infrastructure as institutional investors move into teams, media rights and sports credit. Long-run franchise compounding, Asia-Pacific M&A and named deals show the opportunity, while minority governance, cyclical rights and liquidity remain the test for capital allocation.
Generative AI is becoming media infrastructure, moving value toward human judgment, provenance, rights and distinctive talent. Disney’s $1 billion OpenAI investment, copyright guidance and Deloitte’s agentic-AI forecasts show why investors must separate durable creative power from cheap synthetic abundance.
Longevity is moving from biological-age measurement toward clinical proof. A 53,018-person proteomic score, preclinical gene-transfer results and 2026 financing milestones point to an investable stack built on validation, manufacturing, regulation and payer relevance—not hype alone.
Sports capital is moving from sponsorships to strategic stakes as scarce teams, rising media fees, and fan data attract institutional investors. Asia-Pacific M&A, Arctos Fund II, and the NBA’s long-term rights package show the opportunity, while liquidity, governance, and platform risks keep underwriting demanding.
As generative AI cheapens creation, a provenance layer is emerging: Content Credentials that record who made an asset, what tools touched it, and whether AI was involved. Platforms and unions are pushing consent and labeling into distribution requirements.
Institutional capital is underwriting elite sports as contract-backed media infrastructure, as ownership rules open to private equity and rights negotiations reset valuation benchmarks. The opportunity is in structuring minority stakes and rights-linked financing while stress-testing policy and platform risks.
ARPA-H's PROSPR program, FDA-cleared epigenetic reprogramming trials, and the XPRIZE Healthspan competition mark longevity's pivot from reversal rhetoric to evidence-led resilience, with federal capital underwriting biomarker research over consumer storytelling.
Institutional capital is underwriting sports less as entertainment and more as long-duration media infrastructure, with private equity and sovereign funds targeting minority stakes and rights-linked cash flows.
Ocean initiatives are being packaged into investable pathways, pairing 2030 milestones with tools like maritime data and digital twins that lower verification costs. The result is a clearer capital stack from catalytic funding to institutional scale.
Media companies are adopting generative AI to cut production costs, but copyright guidance is pushing them to prove human creative control to protect valuable IP.
Cellular rejuvenation is inching toward early human testing, while investors focus on biomarkers and trial-ready indications to separate durable longevity science from consumer-market hype.
