The Business of Belonging: TGG’s Vision for Investing in the Power of Play
At TGG Holdings, the philosophy is clear: sport is much more than entertainment or headlines — it’s a foundation for participation and belonging. LIT Sports Global, TGG’s dedicated investment arm, brings this vision to life by focusing on accessibility, community, and creating spaces where people compete and connect.
Earlier this month, LIT Sports Global deepened its presence in Asia by signing three Hong Kong athletes to professional contracts and acquiring the TLP Pickleball Club. The goal is simple: build Hong Kong’s first professional pickleball team and make sport accessible for all, not just the elite.

Pickleball was chosen for its inclusivity — minimal barriers, quick learning, and broad appeal across ages and backgrounds. As reported by the South China Morning Post on October 18, 2025, tennis legend Andre Agassi praised pickleball for its open design, making participation easy compared to sports with high barriers. He highlighted how the sport encourages wide engagement and builds community.

TGG’s approach follows this ethos. Guided by “The Greatest Good,” every investment — whether a racquet sport, a new club, or community space — asks if access and participation will grow. For TGG, sport is about building scalable ecosystems, not exclusivity, where everyone can join in.
As Andre Lajeunesse, a former polo player and leader at TGG, puts it: pickleball inverts the old sports model. Instead of gatekeeping, it welcomes the crowd, starting with community and scaling opportunity.
TGG sees this as a long-term commitment — more than a passing trend, it’s about nurturing a cultural movement and economic engine based on engagement and inclusion. LIT Sports Global aims to build clubs, academies, and digital platforms so that value is measured not only in trophies or financials, but in purpose and belonging.
As Lajeunesse says, “The Greatest Good is scale with soul — investments that grow by giving more people a place to belong.” For TGG, the most enduring asset is always community.
